JUNIOR JUNCTION MANAGER - KUMEU
I have been working in early childhood since 2001 and have been a part of the Junior Junction family since 2009. Throughout my career I have taught all age groups, before taking on a management role a few years ago. My passion is creating welcoming environments that support authentic experiences, relationships, and exploration. It is my belief that respectful, reciprocal, responsive relationships are the key to enabling children to reach their full potential and find a love of learning. When teachers are passionate and genuinely care about the children and their families, they take the time to find out what is important to both the children and their families through observation and open, honest communication. This allows them to create an environment and provide experiences to meet the needs of every individual in our centre community.

JUNIOR JUNCTION MANAGER - AVONDALE
Kia ora! I have worked for Junior Junction since 2008. I was born in Auckland and grew up in Avondale on Canal Road before moving when my brother was born. My passion is educating children in their formative years by providing a nurturing environment where learning can thrive. The excitement on a child’s face when they have learned a new skill is priceless and I love being a part of this. I enjoy family time. My partner and step daughter like bush walks with our Border Collie named Camo. She has two different coloured eyes and has the camouflage markings on her so we think she suits her name. Where I live we get friendly Tui’s and Lorikeet’s having lunch with us on the weekends on our deck along with our cats and mini lop bunnies. I look forward to welcoming you and your children to our Junior Junction family!

JUNIOR JUNCTION MANAGER - HAMILTON
Kia ora, my name is Tania and I am the Centre Manager for Junior Junction Hamilton. I have a Bachelor of Teaching from The University of Waikato and have over fifteen years of teaching experience - all at Junior Junction! Ma te kotahitanga e whai kaha ai tātau - in unity we have strength. This forms the basis of my philosophy of teaching as I believe in a unified approach to education and care. Centre staff work collaboratively with whānau so the learning environment can act as an extension of the home. When continuity of care is established, a strong sense of belonging develops that encourages akonga to explore the world around them and grow as lifelong learners. It is so rewarding to be part of the wonderfully unique moments that occur each and every day. It is these moments where learning flourishes and memories are made.

JUNIOR JUNCTION MANAGER - MT WELLINGTON
Kia ora, my name is Janine. I have been teaching in the ECE sector for over 20 years and have been part of the Junior Junction whanau from 2010-2019. After a short break I returned as the Centre Manager for Lunn Ave in August 2021. I am passionate about providing quality care and education for all our children, ensuring that we are providing an inclusive curriculum that recognizes and values our children’s identity and heritage through building strong parent partnerships with our whanau. These relationships alongside providing enriching experiences every day we can create a safe space for all our tamariki to learn and grow. I have always loved working with children. Their inquisitive minds and curiosity constantly remind me why I chose this career path. From making volcanoes in the sandpit through to building the sky tower the next…no one day is ever the same. I look forward to welcoming your whanau into our centre and sharing your child’s own unique learning journey with you.
